Today's parenting is kinder and more child-focused than ever, to the point that many parents struggle to enforce limits.

How do we tell children 'no' in the face of the endless treats and distractions? How do we keep them safe? How do we flex our parental authority to ensure their emotional stability and ours?

Parenting educator Gen Muir knows that when parents lead with an authoritative style that is both firm and loving, everyone wins. Her step-by-step advice will help parents manage screen time, meals, bedtime, chores, playdates, homework and daily routines. Parents will feel more confident, kids will be more settled, and the family home will become a calmer, happier place.

Compassionate, clear-sighted and non-judgemental, Why Kids Need Boundaries shows us how setting limits is one of the greatest gifts we can give our kids, both now and in the future.
